If youd like to see what dog heaven looks like, go to Prospect Park in Brooklyn one weekend morning before 9 am. Dogs are allowed to run free and its hilarious to watch that many dogs having that much fun. When I was doing an art residency at the School of Visual Arts during the summer of 2007, I realized I needed/wanted to document the many rescue dogs I met in the park on my routine morning visits with Ruby Red, the Alabama hound found with her sisters at the Tuscaloosa Dump. Her early days in the garbage dump have resulted in her continued quest for food consisting of wood and fabric (couches are so yummy).
Anyway, these negatives have taken an embarrassingly long time to scan and prepare for my revised website. I have Nomis human dad to thank for the gentle reminders that kept me on track. This section of my website will not be complete until Ive posted the amazing adoption stories that accompany the photographs.
